Robert Jordan has been active as recitalist and teacher in Vancouver since 1965.  He has studied with Eduardo Sainz de la Maza in Barcelona and with Julian Bream in Stratford 1967.   He also studied guitar pedagogy with Dick Visser of the Amsterdam Conservatoire and in Vancouver he trained in the Kodaly concept with John Alfred Young.

As a performer he has appeared many times on CBC radio and television as soloist, accompanist and arranger and is well known in Vancouver for many concerts of chamber music and accompanying singers.  He has recorded with well known mezzo soprano Phyllis Mailing.  

Mr. Jordan has been on the faculty of the Vancouver Academy of Music since 1976 and also taught at UBC for 20 years.  He now teaches mainly at his private studio on West Boulevard (at W41 Ave.) where he accepts students at all levels and welcomes beginners of all ages.
